Introduction
Performing in the teamwork and handling client queries is one of the important aspects of
the business. Here in this business report, the personal skills and knowledge w ill be assessed and
clarifica tio n will be provided on the development of skillset for particula r job role. Here the
analysis will be done based on the skills identified by handling client’s business problem and also
skills gap will be discovered for my bet terment and make me ready for the future employab ilit y.
A career action plan will be provided to strategize the identified skill gaps and plan for furthe r
improve me nt of the skillse t.
Task. 1.
Ski l l Devel opment
From the project involving in the client dealing, I have identified certain skills that are
required to handle the promotiona l and marketing strategies of the business operation. During the
project, I had to plan marketing strategies and promotiona l strate gies for the client of the
organiza tio n. By doing this task, I have developed the understand ing of the marketing mix and
core marketing knowledge. Along with that, Social Media marketing strategy making skill I have
developed through the project activities (Olimovic h, Bakhtiyoro vic h and Salimovna 2020 ). I have
learned about the source of data collectio n method regarding the client’s problem. I have also
identified the core knowledge of digita l marketing as digita l marketing communic atio n strate gy
has been o ne of the emerging solution for the client servicing role and being in the team I have to
work on identifying the problem of the clients and acquiring the data from the organizatio n’s
overview and their existing strategic marketing analysis .

Strategic anal ysis for organizatio n are the skill sets that I have adopted during the project
work and it made me learn t about the mission and vision statement of client’s organiza tio n and
according to that align the company’s strategy so that they can gain higher marke t share.
Knowl edge Expl orati on
Previously, I did not have enough idea about marketi ng strategy and inter na l analysis of
the organizatio n. The SWOT analysis strategy has been given insight about the organizatio na l
interna l strengths and weaknesses and als o identifica tio n of the opportunitie s and threats can help
me to analyse the market opportunitie s of the organiza tio n (Jenčo and Lysá 2018 ). This swot
analysis strategy will help me in my future whe never I will need to do the SWOT analysis on
certain organ iza tio n. Apart from that I have also learned about the marketing mix analysis and
marketing objective analysis which will help me to understand the problem of the client in the
existing market scenario and will help me to take marketing strategies to mitig ate the problem. I
got to know about the four particles of the Marketing mix such as product, price, place, and
promotion (Lahtine n, Dietrich and Rundle -Thie le 2020 ). I have also identified 4 types of solutio n
that can solve the problem of the client. The four marketing objectives are product developme nt,
diversific atio n strategies, market development, and lastly marketing penetration strategies give s
me the insight of the core knowledge of marketing (Li and Biloshc hytska 2019 ). Another learnin g
that I have acknowledge during the work in the team project is that I got to know about marke t
segmentatio n and identifica tio n of target market. This two has given me the opportunities to
understand the strategies well and forecasting the expected outcome for the res olvence of the
problem.

Improved Confi dence:
This project has boosted my confidence level as I have gained knowledge about certa in
things that will help me to upgrade my employability in the future. Working in the group has
enabled me to become adaptable and make me understand about the team environme nt before
taking any decision about the client’s problem. I have become a team player and this will help me
in my future organizatio n when I have to work in a team (Azmi, Hashim and Yusoff 2018 ). As I
am aspir ing to become a marketing executive of an organiza tio n, so having the core knowledge of
marketing, 4P’s and marketing mix and market analysis is very much important. In this group
project work, I have performed all the activities for LSST universities and I have analysed the
target market and the marketing strategies and marketing objectives. This have provided me with
knowledge and insight regarding how the organiza tio n works in the competitive market. Thus, I
will be able to attain all the intervie w quest ions and it will boost my confidence to make career in
this this field (Lacerenza et al. 2018) . After participating in the group project work, I have the
proper ideas about the different market analysis and it will make me confident about serio us
decision -mak ing approach in my future organizatio n.
Future Learni ng:
During the project work, I have learnt about the SMM strategy that I will apply in my future
organiza tio n to promote their specific products or service. Social media marketing strategy can be
done through paid advertiseme nt and PPC technique, so that organ izatio n can get higher rank ing
in the SERP (Search Engine Result Page) and also increase the visibility of the webpage (Lurie
and Mustafaraj 2018 ). Apart from that, I have understood the importance of SWOT analysis and
the process of SWOT analysis can help me to understand the interna l resources of my organiza t io n
and according to that I will allocate those resources in different parts of operations. Marketing mix

and marketing objectives are the two -core knowledge that I have engrossed during the project
work. This knowledge will help me to study the marketing mix of my future organizatio n and I
will be able make strategies as per the company’s needs. The market segmentatio n will assist me
whenever I will plan for any new product launch in the market, I wil l definite ly take lesson fro m
this project work and identify the target market to make the alignme nt of the products with the
positioning statement of my future organizatio n.
Task. 2.
During the group project work, I have identified certain skill gaps tha t I think I have to
work on to increase my future scope. Firstly, I lack the coordinatio n skills that is extre me ly
important while I am working with a team of people (Wiltshire, Steffense n and Fiore 2019 ).
Secondly, I lack in communicatio n skill and due to my poor communica tio n skill, I am not being
able to express my individ ua l opinion with my team members. And lastly, I lack in marke t
analytica l skill which is the most essential skill for having business career. An action plan has been
presented in the be low table to take action of the skills gap (Klepić, Klepić and Mabić 2021 ).

Conclusion
With the due course of study, I have identified my skills level and how I can be confid e nt
and increase my future scope and also identify three skills gap and make proper action plan to turn
them into my strengths. Througho ut the course , I have learnt certain core marketing aspects whic h
will assist me in my future career as well as to accomplish my future employab ility opportunit ie s.
This report not only identified the skill gaps but also, I have made a career action plan so that I
will work on those certain skills to make improvisatio n on it. Thus, in the conclusio n, it can be
said that this report assignme nt has met all the criteria with skill identifica tio n, analysing the future
scope and ramificatio n of skill gaps.
