Current distribution model and case for modifying the model
The distribution model can be stated to be the medium using which the hotels sell
their rooms to the customers by making use of avariety of channels. It might be through the
website of the firm, atravel agent, global system of distribution or online portals (Cespedes
& Piercy, 1996) .In this regard, Four Seasons Hotel appears to be following a mixed
REVENUE MANAGEMENT REPORT
distribution model whereby the booking of the rooms through the company website and the
online travel agents as well (Morgan et al., 2019) .In addition to this, the global distribution
channel is often applied as well. However, this model has to undergo asignificant change
whereby the focus needs to be placed on choosing only two channels and remaining exclusive
on this channel (Ferrell, Hartline & Hochstein, 2021) .As the firm offers several rooms and
package opportunities, the presence on aselected platforms would ensure that the hotel can
ensure better facilitations and manage the traffic well.

Profitable product package based on the gaps of the competition and the current model
As per the competition analysis, the Marriot does follow the strategy of developing
certain packages ,however, it becomes evident to consider that the same is not the case for
the Four Seasons and in this context, even Four seasons would be required to ensure that they
are successfully being able to come up with certain customized packages which will assist in
better revenue generation (Fifield, 2012) .The different packages which have been designed
can be identified as follows:
Package Details
Family holiday 4 nights and 4 days trip inclusive of food,
beverage and car service for travelling.
20% discount offered.
Business meet 2 days and 1 night for business meet.
REVENUE MANAGEMENT REPORT
Complimentary food drinks and conference
room facilitations alongside 4 suites. 25%
discount offered.
Single travellers 4 days and 3 nights single bed rooms
available with free access to night life, the
pool and other services. 30% discount
offered
Hence, these three packages would ensure that the given target population can be
targeted well and each of the family members, business professionals and the single traveller
population can enjoy the Four seasons luxurious facilities (Soegoto & Utomo, 2019) .
Potential sales and marketing plan
Once the new package has been designed, the potential sales and marketing facilities
have to be aligned accordingly. Hence, the following mediums of marketing have to be
adopted:
1.Social media marketing: Posting on the social media pages such as Twitter, Instagram and
LinkedIn alongside the Facebook would serve as agood opportunity for the four seasons to
advertise its offerings (Morgan et al., 2019) .

2.Influencer marketing: Influencers who are family oriented can be used to market about the
family holiday plan (Palmatier & Crecelius, 2019) .They can click pictures and make content
videos in order to attract the users on the social media platform (Vieira et al., 2019) .
Conclusion
Therefore, the report followed asystematic format whereby the key competitors of the
business alongside the current strategies and distribution channels have been outlined. This is
then followed by the recommendation of asuitable package plan for the hotel to increase the
revenues and recommendations for the marketing have been suggested. It can be understood
that if the right kind of strategies are applied, it may lead to better results and revenue
generation for the Four Seasons.
