Introduction
Since America’s independence, several presidents have served in the White House. Many of
these executive positions have succeeded in carrying out their responsibilities, although other US
presidents have failed. The top five worst US presidents are listed below. (N. Miller 2008)
James Buchanan.
James Buchanan was the fifteenth president of the United States in 1856. His ascension to the
kingdom began when he worked as alawyer in Pennsylvania’s legislative council. While his
record was excellent, he failed miserably in his attempt to unite the country, which was deeply
divided over the subject of slavery. He also accomplished little to halt America’s civil war. This
war may have caused state divisions. The United States of America believes in world peace and
justice when itcomes to violations of human rights. If the two variables are no longer available,
the failure is attributed to the chief executive officer. He was impeached and never finished his
term.
Donald Trump
Donald Trump served as the 45th President of the United States from 2016 to 2020, after a
tumescent rise to power with the Republican Party, which he won by alandslide over his
opponent Hillary Clinton. After George W. Bush in 1992, he was the third president to lose his
reelection bid. The following were the primary reasons:
He was unable to stop the Corona Virus from spreading over the United States of America. The
coronavirus was rapidly spreading since itwas highly contagious, and many Americans died as a
result of this deadly sickness. In various sectors of the American economy, this sickness harmed

labor demand and supply. Trump encountered numerous difficulties during his first term, as he
never received congressional approval.
Andrew Johnson
This was the worst president in the history of the United States of America. Andrew did not
make itduring his presidency because he was inept in federal office and misjudged American
support for his goals. He was thought to be stiff and bossy.
Historians generally see Andrew Johnson as the worst possible President during the end of the
American Civil War. Johnson is regarded as atremendous failure in achieving asatisfying and
just peace because of his extreme incompetence in the federal government and his enormous
miscalculation of the level of public support for his initiatives. He was thought to be astrict,
dictatorial figure.
Franklin Pierce Johnson
This was the 14th president of the United States. He did not win since, at the time of his
nomination, he was relatively unknown. He won the Democratic Movement Party’s nomination.
Representatives from the Democratic Party ignored him since he was unknown. As aresult, he
gained no backing from the party, and the administration that was formed may be extremely
weak. He failed because he was unable to speak about the need of ending the slave trade in
America. (Source: Peter Abbott, 2013).

William Henry Harrison
He was elected president of the United States in 1841 and faced numerous problems. He was the
first sitting president of the United States to pass away while in office. By that time, there was a
constitutional crisis. He vowed to reduce executive powers, particularly in the management of
fiscal policy, but his pledges were not very good. (Utley, 2009)
Discussions
ï‚· Although the White House showed tremendous gaps in American society during Donald
Trump’s presidency, he left little doubt that he is afigure of progress, peace, and harmony
in the country. He will be regarded as the first president who put the country’s interests
first. During his time as governor, William Henry established treaties with Indian tribes,
which brought peace and tranquility to the people of the United States.
