Introduction
Clinical Reasoning Therapeutic Plan that helps patients and medical professionals to
schedule asystematic treatment plan In addition to that, this essay enlightened the specific
process of clinical reasoning cycle implementation as per the patient ’sneed. The first four
steps of the mentioned cycle consider the evaluation and diagnosis pattern to detect the cause.
As per the case study, Maria Demetriou had osteoarthritis which restricts her from doing her
regular activities. Other than this, osteoarthritis is caused due to lack of flexible muscles and
lower the movement of joints. Initially, the four steps are discussed from theoretical
perspectives and follow the roper-logan-Tierney model to provide the best improvement
scope. Finally, this essay is focused to meet patients ’limitations and design an action plan as
per medical requirements to manage the pain or the issue.
Clinical reasoning cycle
Consideration of facts
The initial step is to explain the current condition of the patient including family
culture, surroundings, and work culture. These steps are indirectly affecting the problem-
solving attitude of nursing personnel and could lower the medication plan to support internal
limitations. As per the case study Maria had faced pain in their joints and was diagnosed with
osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis treatment needs anti-inflammatory medications as short-term
injury can affect the autoimmune system and initiates internal inflammation (Ansari, Ahmad,
& Haqq, 2020 ).Hence, she faced pain and her family members tried to support her with
different external pieces of equipment that can help her to walk and move. Medication of
calcium and vitamin D was provided to Maria with anti-inflammatory medicines such as
chondrocytes and synoviocytes. Vitamin D helps to reduce the level of cytokines which are
the main killer cells of antigens and reduce the proliferation of inflammatory cells (Filgueiras
NRSG138 4
et al., 2020 ).Calcium medicines are compulsory in arthritis to protect bones with calcium
bonds that make strengths. Vitamin D supplements are added with natural resources and
managed osteoarthritis with critical restriction to cytokine storm. Moreover, as per the
functionality of abody cytokine storm that can be caused due to different autoimmune
disorders hurt other organs and in elderly people resulting in multiorgan failure.
Collection of information
As per Persky, Medina, & Castleberry, (2019 ), the initiation process of problem
detection is not complex and never focused on atreatment plan for aparticular individual.
Pharmaceutical practices need an intense study regarding that person as social and
community culture had an immense impact on the problem and its treatment. Thus, Maria
also had acritical workplace environment in afood manufacturing company. In terms of food
manufacturing companies, employees need to be secured with chemical constituents,
sterilisation components and washing substances as all of these are slippery enough. For this
reason, Maria had fallen in her workplace however, there was no fracture detected. Different
imaging techniques can be used to find the fine line fracture of Maria and prevent the scope
of osteoarthritis. She stays with her children in Greece and works part-time but her age is not
capable to manage the failures in food processing.
Roper-Logan-Tierney model is afive-step process that affects the lifestyle and
healthy pattern of livelihood. This model has biological, psychological, sociocultural,
environmental, and politico-economic factors that evaluate individuals ’conditions in terms of
lifestyle (Nursology, 2022 ). Though this model of lifestyle evaluates independent and
dependent variables on Maria ’slifestyle. Sometimes, different circumstances need permanent
or temporary restrictions on an individual ’slifestyle as per their age (Holland & Jenkins,
2019 ).

Biological
As per the case study, there is no evidence of the medical history of Maria but there
might be afamily history of osteoarthritis. Otherwise, this can be apersonal inflammatory
issue for Maria and reduce their functional activities. Specific injury issues in food
manufacturing companies increased the immunological imbalance and affected joint muscles
by damaging their flexibility.
Psychological
There are no such psychological issues for Maria however, she might face alack of
attention after the death of her husband due to cancer. Sometimes, these issues can create
traumatic conditions which lead increase in stress hormone levels and cause inflammatory
complications. Hence, there is no solid evidence but the assumption can state that Maria had
psychological issues while staying different from her three more children.
Sociocultural
Sociocultural stability is found in the case study as Maria had not faced any kind of
discrimination. Maria had not faced racial or gender discrimination factors in her lifestyle and
lower complications with integrated cultural consequences.
Environmental
As per the case study, there is ageographical transfer in Maria ’slife that might cause
environmental stress. She was from South-eastern Sydney but after her husband ’sdeath, she
transferred to her son ’shome in Greece. Both the environmental factors are different and can
affect internal body conditions.
Politico-economic
NRSG138 6
There are no political and economic restrictions for Maria however, she wanted to do
apart-time job in the food manufacturing industry. Moreover, in corporate life, she was not
unhappy with her quality of performance.
Action plan
Through this lifestyle analysis model, nursing or medical staff can design appropriate
environment friendly, social, and psychological solutions for Maria and ask her son to
maintain the operations regularly. Within 3months she can reduce cytokine storm in abody
that could restrict other organ damage including osteoarthritis.
Processing gathered information
As per the mentioned information, Maria was diagnosed with osteoarthritis after
getting an injury in the workplace due to uncontrolled movement or sudden risk issues. Thus,
the issue is connected to an internal injury that affected the immune system of an individual
and increases the flow of cytokine inside the body. As per Thomas et al., (2020), cytokine
storm affects the innate system of immunity rather than the adaptive one and reduces the
operational quality of different organs. It damages the lipopolysaccharides that are common
barriers to protecting the internal body from antigens (Huang et al., 2018 ).
Immunomodulatory operations need extra protection which was provided with vitamin D
supplements. Moreover, Maria and her family members have visited aclinic for aregular
influenza vaccine which helps them to get secure life from the influenza virus. As per the
governing data of the Australian Institute of health and welfare, influenza-like symptoms are
common in Australia and in march 2022 the rate was increased (Health, 2022 ).Thus,
governing bodies ordered every citizen to get immunization with the influenza vaccine. But
Maria needs to share her medical history with the authorised organisation before getting
immunised as she had an autoimmune disorder and itmight affect her immunizability.

Identify the problem
Through the above-mentioned information, there are specific issues with her health
according to age and lifestyle. Lifestyle-related issues with consciousness are identified as an
issue for Maria and elderly issues are verified every year on aparticular month.
Implementation of the Roper-Logan-Tierney Model
Conclusion
Finally, this essay enlightened the factors of the clinical research cycle that involves
critical evaluation of patient care and services. Initially, the first four steps of clinical research
ensure the situational context of every outcome and manage the collaborative development
pattern with the guidance of medical personalities. As per the case study, Maria is an elder
person in the Demetriou family and faced environmental transitions with surroundings stress.
Her issues with osteoarthritis had been prescribed perfectly treduce the cytokine storm and
reduce internal inflammation as well. Critical conditions can occur in this mentioned scenario
and the Roper-Logan-Tierney model provided aspecific action plan to improve the
conditions. Thus, itcan be concluded that the clinical reasoning cycle helps in the treatment
process and guide the patient to improve their functional qualities.
